• hit some legs yesterday 💃🏽 started with light belt-less technique sets for sumo deadlifts (I was drained after a whole week of working out without rest🤡), isolation work (dropsetted, slow eccentrics and unilaterals) for both hamstrings and quads & ended with resetted RDLs with constant tension and toes elevated (go a bit lighter, resetting is more challenging) 🔥 high-rep finishers to burn out 👌🏾 taking today off weights, stretching is a must still 💁🏽 happy new week! 🎉

The variations of the #GLJOOTY 😱😂 sounds kinda like a horror movie but hey I had time after my session today whilst waiting to be picked up so I though hm its #gljooty day, I’ll try and get a decent one (as you can see I took a lot 😂 I decided to just put them all in a college) basically I looked like a lunatic for about 10 minutes running around the changing rooms HOWEVER if I didn’t I wouldn’t be able to present to you the variations of the #GLJOOTY 😂😂 .

- Today's leg session involved high volume and heavy weight ,as I ease my way back into squatting  after a minor injury I used box squats and pause squats to help me get my strength and mobility back .

Why are box squats good ?

BENEFITS IN A BOX
The benefits of the box squat are many. First on the list is the fact that squatting on a box forces you to pause at the bottom, which causes you to recruit more muscle fibers to get you out of the hole and back up to the top. More muscle fibers recruited equals more strength and more growth. The second benefit is that you can sit back farther than you could if a box wasn't under you. This places more stress on the powerful hamstrings and glute muscles, which are key movers in this exercise. A third advantage is that you can accurately set how low you'll go in your descent, simply by adjusting the box height. Last, but in no way least, the box is a great tool for teaching yourself proper squatting technique — and the heavier your squat gets, the more important technique is.

⭕️LYING HAMSTRING CURL⭕️ This exercise is great to build the strength in your hammies🔥💪🏻 It's all well and good having a nice big and defined quad but not a strong hamstring😰 Make sure to train all muscles equally👍🏼👌🏻 Your hamstring plays an important role in everyday activities such as walking, jumping and 🏃🏻🔥 The function of your hamstring is to flex your knee and move your hips backwards💪🏻 Your hamstring is made up of 3 muscles, semenbranosus, semitendinosus and the biceps fermoris which is the main muscle used💪🏻👌🏻 ⭕️TEACHING POINTS⭕️
1. Set up the machine to fit your height and correct weight. Lie face down making sure the pad of the curl is on the back of your legs, just under your calves. 
2. Keeping your back straight, use full range of motion, lift the bar up with the back of your legs up towards your bum🍑, hold and squeeze for 1-2 seconds and slowly lower the bar back to starting position. 
3. Make sure to exhale on the way up and keep your upper legs on the bench at all times. Point your toes towards the floor. Control the movement💪🏻 I done 4 sets of 8 reps on this exercise🔥💪🏻 PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT👌🏻
