Moving a weight that is submaximal in the fastest way possible. Dynamic efforts are a vital training component to add to your program to improve all round athleticism .

Cleans , snatchs , jumping and bounding are all examples. Being able to move big weights (mass) is key for developing strength qualties. However being able to move this mass quickly is another thing.  This is Power.

Power = force x velocity

The Side To Side Step Shuffle is an excellent athletic plyometric movement that revs up the heart rate and improves overall coordination, lateral foot speed, and explosiveness in the lower body - @bradgouthro

To get started:
1. Place one foot on top of a sturdy low step or box that is approximately 1 foot high.
2. With your knees slightly bent, chest up, and eyes looking straight ahead, press your foot through the step to laterally jump to the other side of the step while pumping your arms athletically.
3. Land the opposite foot on the floor while landing the other foot on top of the step, landing softly. Your feet should not make a loud thumping noise when making contact with the step.
4. Ensure you keep your knees slightly bent throughout the lateral shuffle to reduce the shock on the knees.
5. Immediately and quickly reverse the movement back to the other side.
6. That’s one rep.
7. Repeat with speed for reps.

Wk 2 training Plyos with 30 lb Dumbells.  Gotta iron this wrinkle out with my timing for jump training with, and without weight.  It’s important that when you MOVE no matter the direction on land or in the sky, that you train for lightness and versatility instead of feeling coarse and rigid.  But that’s ok when your timing is coarse because like music, go back to your piano and keep playing again and again to fine tune your training cadence to be lighter and more versatile.  Same applies towards your personal trained program, so practice endlessly and relentlessly no matter your outcome, because failure and success only determine progression if you WANT TO GO GET IT 💪🏾👊🏾.
