Focus on 1 day @ a time. If I can say one thing it's this; results do not just happen overnight. You can't expect to see huge changes in 2,3,4 weeks. The whole purpose of dieting and working out is to live a healthier way of life; balanced and variety. Yo Yo Dieting and Crash Dieting are what lead to binging and other disorders associated with negative emotions. The mind and body is a powerful tool. Make SMART, REALISTIC GOALS for yourself. Are you going to lose 5-6 lbs a week? No. Are you going to lose 7-8 in 2 weeks? No. Real true weight loss NO; maybe water weight. But not where it stays off. The whole process is slow, takes time; nothing comes easy, and if it does well it's too good to be true and the weight will come right back.

Learn to love yourself and enjoy the process. It will never be easy but it will be WORTH IT in the end!!! Day by day you are changing and you do not even notice it. Do not obsess over the scale and the number on it. It will mess with you instead look at yourself in the mirror and say, "I am beautiful, I am loved, and I CAN do this". Mindset is key. In honor of this endless summer we are having, I thought a bathing suit transformation pic would be apt. I am filled with pride looking at this progression. I donโ€™t know how I was ever coerced into that picture on the left, but I am glad to have it now. Obviously these photo posts are all about how visually my body has made huge changes, but physically the transformation has been even more remarkable... I am running 5ks! I hiked 110 miles in 15 days! I climbed to the top of a mother flipping mountain!!!!! The improvement in my day to day quality of life is priceless. I feel like I was half asleep for years, not living up to my full potential and finally I am AWAKE!

I finally join a Kickboxing Cardio Class here in Langford. Ever since I left Montreal in 2012 I had in mind to do so. I didn't have a clue about the new work schedule I was getting into moving to Fort McMurray. I was on construction site 12-13 hours/day everyday...,,, After the Wild Fire in the Mac last year we made the decision to stay here on the Island full-time. Wasn't a easy year in so many way.

Yesterday was my first class, I absolutely L๐Ÿ’–VE it ๐Ÿ™Œ 
I wasn't perfect but I give all I got. Lots of sweat ๐Ÿ’ฆ + my face was Red! Punishing the bag felt therapeutic ๐Ÿ‘Šโœจ๐Ÿ’—
Super calm and re-energized after my class perfect recipe for a productive evening. 
Today I'm sore = also satisfied. I'll get out for a Power Walk with my puppy ๐Ÿพ after work and practice my punch/kicks at home. It's about being proud of myself every step I take toward my journey to a healthier me.

I've had good days, bad days, days I just lay on my mat in savasana for half of class and days when I don't even show up because I'm just so mentally and physically done. Glute day! BB2 Phase 2 supersets......holy smokes! For the longest time I was so concerned about the number on the scale, thinking that there was a magic number where my body would just look exactly the way I wanted. Well, that number came and went and I still didn't have the physique I coveted. It was only when my mind turned to building strength ......and ignoring the scale that the changes came to my physique. Strength builds beautiful lean muscle, not losing a magic 10 lbs. I weigh 15 lbs more than my "goal weight" but you know what??? My clothes are looser - so ditch the scale and focus on all the gains. Proof is in the pudding - I've added 50 lbs to my hip trust since May!!!! Took 3 tries this morning to find peace in this pose. This itty bitty backbend is so hit or miss for me. I've been backbending a lot lately and my back was so not having it without support. Thank goodness I had my wheel handy! Even with the wheel it was a struggle. I really wanted to curve my back around the wheel but it worked so much better once I got my hips up higher and kind of just let my torso drape down the other side of the wheel. Just gotta meet my body where it is. ๐Ÿ™ #BackbendLab

Exercises are done in ladder climb style round 1 is 2,4,6,8,10 reps on each exercise with no rest, Round 2 is in reverse 10-2. The hard part of this i would say is the rope slams. You do 20,40,60,80,100 reps in round 1 then it's in reverse 100-20 in round 2 fastest time best out of 2-3 he managed 2.
