Maybe, that HABIT of social drinking. That HABIT or the nightly glass of wine, just maybe, it’s costing you:

Your health: you can never get rid of that stubborn belly fat
Your relationships: You’re always irritable
Your energy: you are lethargic
Your sleep quality: You wake up a few times in the night and are sluggish in the morning
Your time: You’re always in a rush and can never get everything done
Your finances: You can never get ahead
Your looks: You look in the mirror and you’re always finding faults.

Because here’s the thing: One glass of alcohol a night is enough to disrupt your sleep just a little bit. When your sleep is disrupted just a little bit, you wake up just a little bit irritable. 
When you wake up just a little bit irritable, you’re more inclined to snap at your husband, wife, boyfriend, girlfriend, or kids. So your relationships start to suffer.

If you leave home just a little bit later because you’re just a little bit irritable, then maybe you’re not showing up at work on time. Maybe you’re not doing your job to your best ability. 
If you run a business, maybe you’re not as energetic, focused and clear-minded than if you didn’t have that one drink the night before. That’s costing you money. 
Maybe you don’t get a promotion at work, so it costs you money. Maybe you don’t make sales in your business, which is costing you money. 
Maybe because you’re just a little bit irritable, and you’re just a little bit foggy after that drink the night before, you’re more inclined to eat a crappy breakfast. 
Maybe you duck into Starbucks for a cookie, or you go to McDonald’s. Or maybe you eat sugary food from the vending machine. That's enough to make you a little more overweight, which worsens your sleep and so forth. 
It’s just this perpetual cycle. Which is killing you from the inside out: physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. 
And all it takes is one seemingly innocent drink a day.

I dont care if you're 12 or 82, the squat is one of the most important movements and exercises you can perform. This is a clip from the Barbell Shrugged episode I was on in 2016, and if you can take away one message it is this: finding out how strong you can become and living the life you want as LONG as you are alive starts with learning to properly perform the squat. 👊🏻

@krissymaecagney Quick little moment of appreciation for my favorite piece of equipment at @blackirongymnv: the reverse hyper. This gets used as a table by all 150 of my members. I think maybe three of us use it, which is a shame. My posterior chain was notoriously weak and unhealthy for YEARS... weak hamstrings (hello, sumo DL), weak glutes, weak back that kept getting agitated.
▫️ This wonderful piece of equipment has not only improved my strength, but it's been amazing for my recovery. You don't need to put much weight on to benefit from it. You can use it to get stronger. You can use it to alleviate back tightness or soreness. It decompresses the spine through via internal "pumping" and increases blood flow (great for rehab if you've been injured). Basically you can train your back (and entire posterior chain) without a vertical load, and that's tight.

How to: step in the strap, jump up to hip level,  CONTROL the weight (think about controlling with your glutes), get lots of flexion in your spine at the lower back.
