Random photos of potential interest, dependent on the eventfulness of my life + your personal tastes/relational proximity.
There are two approaches to #HaloTop: the intended one that saves calories and the one that people actually take, i.e. all for the price of one. (It actually melted/deflated by 50% while I edited this photo, but it was still tasty. Impressed by the ingredient list, too.)
TW // #conscientiousfatty (I support & respect all bodies, encourage self-acceptance, & recognize personal ambivalence about the term "fat." Just can't feel it for myself. Cognitive dissonance!)

Fact: I don't think I've ever won anything by random chance. Just awards for school, tickets to a show for answering a question fastest, and $50 once for decorating/doodling on fundraiser pledge slips in the least ugly manner. I want to be a winner (in a way that's totally non-reflective of my capabilities and/or self-worth)! 😭

Sometimes, I save boxes because they seem like they're good for shipping small stuff. I was picking up my room and gathered these recent ones. Is this sort of what it feels like to find empty booze bottles? Pretty sure this is my iPhone. ☹️ #freeshippingover50

I WILL TAME YOU! 😂 Slash learn how to wear eyeshadow. After much fixing and adjusting: Used Dawn all over lid and I think it muted/muddled the cooler colors some (thanks, artificial light). Axis near lash line and smudged along bottom lash line, New Wave and Edge toward inner eye (most got blended out), Roxy > New Wave > Dawn to brow bown, Adorn > Electric from inner eye following orbital contour and diffused, Electric along lower lash line. // Thoughts: Uhh, don't use a peachy base? Obv would use a smaller brush and be more precise with blending toward inner eye next time (foresight and planning are novel concepts . . . faux cut crease?). Less = more. 🙃 Also wearing: Benefit Ka-Brow!, Benefit High Brow, highlight from Kevyn Aucoin The Neo Bronzer in Siena, Stila Stay All Day liquid liner.

Woo. ☝️*finger twirl* Thoughts: Are the criticisms valid? Yes. Do I like it anyway? Yes. It is hard to blend, including evening out inconsistent washes of color, so first-try precision helps a lot. But I did not have the extreme kickback/basically crumbling in the pan issues some others did. I use a light touch in general, but I wasn't going out of my way to be gentle and I couldn't imagine how relentlessly I'd have to pick at one to hit pan. The yellows/oranges/peaches are super easy to work with; working on getting the darker shade contrasts in without making things muddy (almost wish Axis were a tiny bit more luminous on skin). Taupes/greiges are nice.

Dog's favorite thing to do outside is sit in a sunny spot (between digging and barking at nothing). I feel like garden cats are a thing. I did want a cat. (Just to be clear—those are weeds. It used to be a garden.)

Erro. MOST IMPORTANT, #HAIRHELP: Anyone with super straight, medium-length, fine-but-thick hair know of decent *air-dry* styling products that actually add texture (not necessarily waves or volume, just definition and separation) to *damp hair*? Preferably non-drying, i.e. alcohol denat. NOT first ingredient (water excluded). Good on dry hair products—IGK Down Out N Dirty, Oribe Thickening Spray, Kristen Ess Styling Paste—but the things that worked for me when I had shorter hair (e.g. B&B Texture) are too strong when air dried, lose effect when blow-dried. ☹️
Makeup Monday (yes, I do just make these categories up as it suits me): Laura Mercier Hydrating Primer + Josie Maran Argan Enlightenment Fluid, Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Fluid Foundation (5.0), Benefit Erase Paste Brightening Concealer (01 Light), Tarte Shape Tape Contour Concealer (Light Sand), Nars Soft Matte Complete Concealer (Cannelle), Make Up For Ever HD Cream Blush (04), Givenchy Prisme Libre Loose Powder (Mousseline Pastel), Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops (Celestial), Kevyn Aucoin The Neo Bronzer (Siena—highlight only), Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzing Powder, Benefit Ka-Brow! (05), Benefit High Brow Highlight & Lift Pencil, Urban Decay Electric Pressed Pigment Palette (Jilted + Urban + Revolt), Urban Decay Vice Lipstick (Plague + Asphyxia), Kiko Milano mascara.
Thoughts: Hydrating primer + luminizer mix was not a good combo with Luminous Silk (either that or didn't wait long enough after sunscreen); used Becca Backlight last time and was much better. High Brow is super handy to keep at hand if you're a pale-y like me—highlight, makeshift conceal, etc. Tried blurred edge lip look, not sure it's for me because a) perfectionist, i.e. tries too hard to get "messy but not too messy" right (also applies to: hair) and b) full lips make it look like a (bad) accident. Also used Asphyxia on outer lid for light gloss. #motd

Super cute note cards from the Target $1 section! ♥️
Fact: If I have $5, I will go to Target and find something that I wasn't planning to buy/don't need. (Also fact: the less money I have, the more time I'll spend in the store.)

Neo Limelight at Sephora today. 😩 So pretty! So tempting! The display was so grody! Lots of "special" item displays (mostly glitter and toppers and duochrome, but also Too Cool for School Dinoplatz oil papers!).
FINALLY checked out some things I'd been wanting to: KVD Alchemist Holographic Palette (not excited), Anastasia Glow Kits (I liked Moonchild), Milk Holographic Stick in Supernova (more subtle than expected which is good), and the new #SephoraCollection #GoldenHourLuminizingPowder. FYI, the Twilight color is BEAUTIFUL and silky and has a slight shift, even though it doesn't claim to. I'll probably grab it, but I've got to research some color theory and think through how to do icy tones without going playground. Moving on: there was only a dummy Subculture (boo), but finally swatched some Natasha Denona and Viseart shades and ooh, they are buttery. They seem comparable to one another (and can't judge kick back from a sponge—PS I sort of forgot how USEFUL sponge applicators are for packing) but I don't know if they're really better than UD or others. (Note: I STILL WANT BUTTER LONDON OIL SLICK.) Benefit brow kits were 50% off, so I grabbed one in exchange for the Huda Lip Strobe. FINALLY: No to Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder; I could see it as a highlight (except they make Ambient Strobing), but there's too much shimmer for full-face. I was weirdly excited to see the ciaté glitter flip, though I had to awkwardly explain to the saleswoman I didn't want to try it or buy it (just watch a video). But, again, Sephora Collection wins . . . the #MakeNoMistake stick foundation is nice and light with a comfortable finish, but the concealer is UHH-MAZING. It's been awhile, but I'm 99% sure it's basically MUFE Full Cover (psst @dupethat)—opaque, slightly tacky, sets fast. Still have to try the CP concealers (seem good for contour)/ figure out my thoughts on CP at Sephora (weird), but I like a quick-setting concealer for blemishes, the Soft Matte for red areas, and Shape Tape gives more working time under the eyes. Oh, and Nirvana French Grey = new best Nirvana (but MK&A should prob branch out with names soon). 👍

A jury duty questionnaire! There's a comment/info section. I will make sure to mention things such as how honored I am to be considered for such great civic responsibility, how much I respect law enforcement and the justice system (so much so that I trust their judgment 99.99% over courtroom antics), my thoughts on the prison-industrial complex, some more words to make it unclear which way my faith in the system actually leans, and a heartfelt, though probably pointless, reasoning as to why this actually makes me a preferable candidate (who has a decent chance of being weeded out if the lawyers are trying to stack the jury).

YAY, mail (and Ulta). My Abnormal/Deciem/Ordinary—is it weird the Abnormal Beauty Co. makes a line called The Ordinary?—order arrived today. One item (30%AHA + 2%BHA Peeling Solution) is a refill, but the others are new tries. I swatched them for texture and 👍: the 2% Alpha-Arbutin is barely tacky, the 2% Retinoid feels like milk, and the 23% Vitamin C + 2% HA is a light, slightly gritty lotion; they all dry quickly. I had reservations about the VC texture based on reviews, but the grains disappear within a minute; it's completely wearable during the day (which means I can use it with my sunscreen and do the retinoid at night). The CosRx BHA Power Liquid (active: 2% niacinamide!) will make a good nighttime toner (maybe with micellar water) before the retinoid, while my glycolic toner will work well in the AM to keep pH down for the Vitamin C! Thinking CosRx Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence on cheeks—or the 2% HA + B5 serum, which I don't plan to refill because it seems unnecessary—w/ moisturizer at night and possibly squalane then SPF to finish AM. Peels every 1-2 weeks, masks 1-2x/week? Next on list: antioxidant whipped/gel moisturizer, purifying (charcoal or clay) mask that's not too drying. #skincarenerd

#Plotograph is an interesting app. It would work best with landscapes and bright, colorful, thick and fluffy skies. Also, definitely not an iPhone 5s. #waitingwaitingwaiting
Going through tags, some people have found really cool uses for the app! Sparse clouds were a bit strange, especially working with the anchor points to try (try) to prevent bits from ghosting themselves or running into invisible walls. Bring me an iPhone 8/X/whatever (no ugly coppery-bronze color), please.
