This is my second film with Rawson putting my trust in his hands. A very smart, ambitious, extremely focused and methodical guy who wants to deliver a f*cking intensely breathtaking and epic film for the fans.
Our story takes place in China. In the penthouse of the world’s tallest skyscraper… on fire.

As per yoosh with fans, I’ll break the ice and talk some shit. Put my truck in park, get out, take pictures, cause a traffic jam, say my goodbyes and head on down the road.
The girl who started singing to me, drove 7hrs to meet me. After we took a pic, I gave her a hug and she started crying and said she’ll never forget this moment for the rest of her life. She actually compared it to a story Ive told about when I met Muhammad Ali years ago. Beautiful moment. Thank you @ayatt7 for the words.
Gotta say stuff like this will always be the best part of being famous. And free waffles.

1am. On set of #SKYSCRAPER. Minutes away from me scaling the world’s tallest building in what will be insanely rad stunt and breathtaking scene in our movie.
Our Director of Photography, Robert Elswit won an Oscar for one of my favorite movies – THERE WILL BE BLOOD. The man knows how to calm a set before all hell breaks loose.. thus the beautiful jazz music of the iconic Sonny Collins in the background.
I may be a little crazy but it keeps me from goin’ insane.

Not a very sexy shot, but I like the story here.
Takin’ a few minutes between scenes to “circle the wagons” with our supervising stunt coordinator @alpop.stunts and @sevenbucksprod president and producer @hhgarcia41 to kick around ideas on a very intense and raw fight that I have in the movie.
Clearly I’m captivating these two men with my expressive hands, because Hiram looks bored and Alan is already putting his computer away.

This story grabbed my heart. 10yr Jacob O’Connor found his little 2yr old brother, Dylan laying facedown in their pool.
He pulled his little brother out and started CPR & chest compressions. He saved little Dylan’s life. Jacob said he learned how to do this by watching me in his favorite movie, SAN ANDREAS.
I’m so amazed and impressed by this little 10yr old boy’s heroic actions and calm instincts in the middle of that kind of emergency distress.
I now need to shake young Jacob’s hand…

Great family set visit on #SKYSCRAPER up here in Vancouver with Jeff Shell and his lovely wife, Laura and their awesome daughter, Anna.
Jeff is Universal’s Chairman of global film operations so I enjoy picking his brain about our business and where we’re trending.
Also had great chats about the FAST & FURIOUS franchise and the much anticipated HOBBS spinoff. Got some big plans you guys’ll love.
The best part of the meeting was not only getting his wife Laura’s point of view on projects – because mom’s rule the world – but having their 14yr old daughter, Anna say, “THAT’S SO COOL” is all I need to hear when it comes to the HOBBS spinoff. Good times. Great family.

I do a drive by thru my kitchen where I notice our family chef, Chef Evelyn preparing my baked sweet potato fries.
I respectfully take over for a hot minute adding just the perfect amount of cinnamon and liquid stevia extract so everyone will love them. Only problem is, I will destroy the sweet potato masterpiece as soon as they come out of the oven, before anyone else has a chance to taste greatness, so only daddy’s tum tum gets that sweet yum yum.

Helluva week we’ve had as a country. Learned a lot.
To the families of the two state troopers Lt. H. Jay Cullen and Trooper-Pilot Berke MM Bates as well as civilian, Heather Heyer who lost their lives in Charlottesville, our hearts, prayers, energy and strength are with you. Stay strong.
I don’t like the “noise” these days in politics. The “noise” just isn’t my style. But this goes far beyond politics. It’s not about Democrats or Republicans, it’s about being human. Decent human beings.
Not certain what all the answers are, but I am 100% certain I control my own actions. Live as greatly as we can, lead by example, lead with strength and lead with love.
Painful week, but it’s given us great clarity. And in that clarity, we become stronger.

I’m fascinated by Genghis Khan and the Mongolian Empire. He galvanized and created the largest contiguous empire the world has ever seen. Rivaled by only the British Empire and eventually defeated by the Egyptians. Which then lead to the Ming Dynasty reclaiming of China. I think my history is correct here, but hell who knows. I need carbs.

Through this experience I’ve learned a lot. Everyone always sees what is on the outside what is shown of our lives no one truly knows behind the scenes. @therock is a true gentleman how I came to tattoo him I do not know. I am a truly blessed human. (Thank you Matt) the process of tattooing a client starts with a meeting always finding out what it is they want. Tattoos are markings on the body that are with you for ever. Imagine choosing a birthmark. The tattoo has to represent you, who you are and what you feel, your image and your personality. @therock and I spend time going back and fourth showing him different ideas, different horns different mana. I always want to do what I want to do but I always have to remind myself that when I tattoo a client it is for them and theirs to wear the rest of their lives. I am excited to tweak and build this tattoo a little further after it heals. When I complete a tattoo in one sitting it is never finished my clients all know this to well. I let the tattoo heal, live, age a little before I come back to it and layer it see what it needs to give it the sculpting or life it requires to be abandoned because we all know art is never finished it is simply abandoned. I am grateful I am blessed I have been given the new gift of knowing about “Mana” thank you world your are nothing short of amazing. Thank you @therock till next time same channel same page! And just like that my baby girl @simonegjohnson turns 16.
Feels like just yesterday I held her tiny body in my hands the day she was born as I whispered “I’m gonna love and take care of you for the rest of my life”. She of course cried, which in newborn lingo translates to, “you’re the best damn daddy on the planet”. True story.

Evolution of the bull. Blood, sweat & years.
After 3 sessions and 22hrs of tattooing with world renowned @NikkoHurtado, the story’s almost done.. Every detail is a reflection of my own personal history.
From the cracks and heavy damage in the bone representing life’s hard lessons I’ve learned over the years. Just like scars and wrinkles – I’m so grateful to have ’em because they’re earned.
To the horns, not pointing up or out to the side, but pointing straight ahead representing relentless energy and forward progress.
The core and anchor of this image is in the eye. Look closely and you’ll find the life, energy, power and you’ll feel the MANA (spirit). The eye tells the story of a disruptive positive energy always ready to dent the universe.
Depending on the light and angle, sometimes the energy’s subtle and sometimes it’s glaring. But it’s always alive and ready to disrupt the universe and love and protect my family and all things I love with intense passion and gratitude.
