Day 11 of #YogisAndTheSource was for #halasana and the characteristics surrounding the ECLIPSE... There was a time when in halasana I used to bursted into tears... I wasn't completely faithful to myself... to get approval I used to do what pleased to others. It's been quite a journey, and I'm still a work in progress, but now I feel I can speak clear and loud. 🌺🙌

Y nos encontramos en el día 5 de nuestro reto #backtotraditionalhatha propuesto por nuestras queridas anfitrionas @irya_devi y @mintyogini ando llena de energía este eclipse me ha recargado las baterias, aqui les muestro la postura correspondiente  al día de hoy y es #halasana o arado aún mi bebe me la permite me senti bien cómoda, tambien queria comentarles algo no se si les pasa a ustedes y es que desde que hago yoga siempre mi profe nos hablaba en sánscrito y nos traducia también al español y mi mente se enfocaba en visualizarme como el animal u objeto que traducia, siento que me ha servido de mucho para la hora de ejecutar los movimientos, suena algo loco e incluso trato de encontrar las palabras para que me entiendan pero siento que es algo que no sabría como explicarles con palabras es algo más de sentir....Ustedes que opinan?

Los principales beneficios que te aportará practicar la Halasana o Postura del Arado son: 🌟Estiras las piernas, en especial los músculos isquiotibiales. 🌟El estiramiento todavía es mayor en el caso de la variante Parsva Halasana. 🌟Estiras la columna vertebral, lo que ayuda a mejorar la postura y, junto con otras asanas más, es beneficiosa si quieres aliviar o eliminar la escoliosis. 🌟Fortaleces los brazos. Son los encargados de mantener buena parte del peso y evitar que te desvíes a los lados. de la parte abdominal. 🌟Mejora la digestión. 🌟Entrenas el equilibrio ya que si no lo tienes es casi imposible llegar a la posición final y mantenerte. 🌟En menor medida fortaleces los abdominales al entrar y salir de la postura. For day 5 of #backtotraditionalhatha we’re descending into #halasana or #ploughpose right from #sarvangasana or #shoulderstand. .
.
Support your back with your hands, and slowly and with control lower your toes to find the mat above your head. Make it a point to maintain the knees straight as long as possible.
.
If you can’t touch the floor, don’t strain - honor your body and go as low as comfortable! (Useful tip: if you can’t touch the floor with your legs together, try separating them, you will find that you can go lower this way!)
.
Once your toes are on the floor, gently push through your heels, keep the spine vertical and long, your bum lifting towards the sky. You can choose to keep your hands on the back of your ribcage, on the mat (palms down), or to interlace your fingers and bring the shoulder blades together for firmer support and resistance.
.
You may find the breath difficult in halasana - exit the pose if you feel any pain, or excessive strain. (Or try kechari mudra by rolling your tongue back towards your soft palate and throat, to see if this helps make your breath easier!)
.
Hold the pose for at least 15 seconds if this is not in your regular practice, 10 long breaths if you are comfortable enough, or even a minute.
.
To exit, roll out of the pose, one vertebrae at a time, and lie in savasana.
.
Halasana benefits: The movement of the diaphragm which takes place during the practice of halasana massages all the internal organs, improving their overall function. It also strengthens the abdominal muscles, tones the spinal nerves, and increases blood circulation to the whole area.
