Sometimes, when we think of "Carbohydrates" we may instantly think of pasta or bread. It was only a few years back, when I started to take an active interest in nutrition, that I was really, REALLY surprised to find that fruit is very high in carbs as well as those traditional things we think of as 'carbs'.

When some people 'cut carbs' they may often reduce how much pasta, bread, rice, they eat but continue to eat lots of fruit.

Personally, I went on a low carb diet and lost 80lbs. I still ate fruit but ate more "superfood" fruits, such as berries, which are lower in carbs. For higher carb fruits like apples and bananas I would continue to eat them, but choose a smaller apple for example.

Fruit is an amazing source of nutrients and vitamins, with a ton of benefits. Also, with the type of carbs in fruit in comparison to pasta, there is a difference, with carbs in fruit being absorbed slower into our body, which can avoid bloody sugar level spikes.
⭐️But....I believe and hope that comparison posts like this can help knowing what is what! So that we can all make informed choices based on our dietary preferences and goals💪🏻

Shitty picture but this blender saves my life on mornings I'm in a rush, which is almost always when school's in session. I have my mushroom protein from @moonjuiceshop as the base and build from there, always using kale or spinach to make it green. Most of the time I'm doing my best to emulate @kurepdx Extra Mile, cause after moving from Portland I cannot live w/o. 
Pro tip: when adding coconut butter + almond butter, use same knife to dip in both

Friyay is here ✨ for the past two weeks, I went full force adventure mode to remind the inner young explorer within me. From hiking trips to chasing meteor shower with the SAC fam, it was definitely a breath of relief from the chaotic urban jungle. I was definitely grateful to have people who helped me see the beautiful side of the world again 🌻 if you guys can take the time to get out the city this weekend, I recommend Kuala Khubur. That area is literally a place for you to get an orgasm of nature's beauty and fresh air. From waterfalls to epic views, you won't be disappointed. Plus, you get a great workout in while you're at it 💪💕 .  One of the hikes I recently went was Bukit Kutu. The last time I went was 2 years ago when I was still overweight. To have gone through it again this time, it was a very interesting and insightful way for me to compare my fitness level. I did so much better thank God 🙈 #thankyousquatsanddeadlifts. .

The hike consisted of never ending steep climbs and definitely will make your quads and hams burn like f. But throughout the journey, your eyes will be fed with amazing views (like the pic here, this wasnt even the peak yet!) and you will stumble across tunnels made of fallen bamboos, huge boat size rocks, and abandoned houses. The peak itself is made up of three boulders that will give you a 360 view of the world. Do give it a try and tag me in when you capture the view!

recipe:
just bring 350ml water/plantmilk to boil.add 45g oats,5 chia seeds,10g vegan vanilla protein and sweetener of choice. stir well until the right consistency.turn out the temperature,wait a few minutes till it gets thicker. add 50g soyjoghurt and fill it into your favorite bowl. at least tag me if you try it cause i love to see your creations.

//guten morgen und happy friday😊zum frühstück hatte ich gerade sticky schoko oatmeal getoppt mit frischem obst,granola und zuckerfreiem schoko aufstrich von @xucker.de. mein tipp für den perfekten haferbrei sind übrigens chia samen,ein esslöffel sojajoghurt sowie eine prise salz und natürlich die haferflocken von @koeln_deutschland. glaubt mir,das macht wirklich einen riesen unterschied😬☝🏼so und jetzt habt einen tollen tag vor euch🙂\\



recipe:
just bring 350ml water/plantmilk to boil.add 45g oats,5 chia seeds,10g vegan vanilla protein and sweetener of choice. stir well until the right consistency.turn out the temperature,wait a few minutes till it gets thicker. add 50g soyjoghurt and fill it into your favorite bowl. at least tag me if you try it cause i love to see your creations.

Und Bananen - neben Avocado mein Ausreißer. Denn grundsätzlich versuche ich, mich möglichst regional und saisonal zu ernähren. Gelingt mir aber nicht immer. Wie ist das bei euch?

Vegan portobello mushroom burger 💚😍 I have ordered plenty of portobello mushroom burgers at restaurants & have NEVER enjoyed the flavor of any of them 😣😒 i was a bit nervous to create my own version, but this was absolutely delicious. Got most of this produce fresh from our garden. Kale, basil, sweet pepper, zucchini and the fresh zucchini flowers. Sautéed sweet onion and garlic, then added #tempeh and veggies, lastly sprinkle some soy sauce to taste. 
How simple is that?
